Nsangi Farmers Association, partner of the Progreso program, is a producer organization committed to the improvement of the living conditions of its members. Aging farmers and lack of interest of the young generation in coffee production is a very important issue for the sustainability of the coffee sector in Uganda.
In the past years, Nsangi has been organizing football tournaments combined with trainings to motivate the youth to learn about coffee farming. Progreso and the Rabo Rural Fund wanted to make a small contribution and gave a football shirt to Ronald Buule, Manager of Nsangi. This shirt (from Manchester United´s Mexican football player Chicharito) will be given to the best trainee in the coming football season.
