ENHANCING AFRICA GREEN ECONOMY THROUGH THE ECO GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION FOR COFFEE” IN UGANDA

To enhance farmers’ incomes and create sustainable market opportunities, NUCAFE in partnership with CIRAD have the support of Euro 1.2 million under the SWITCH Africa Green Initiative from the Europe an Union to implement the project. Implementation of this project is expected to increase the volume and value of Uganda’s coffee export from Mt. Rwenzori region by at least 20% and 35% respectively by 2022. This will contribute to Government of Uganda vision of producing 20 million 60kg bags by 2025.
